Special Celebrations
We are celebrating the 70th Birthday of Professor Tamás Terlaky, founder of MOPTA 25 years ago. A Tamas-70 Session and Dinner will be held on June 18, 2025, to honor his impactful and long-lasting contributions to the fields of optimization, operations research, and industrial engineering.
We will also be celebrating Lehigh ISE's 100th Anniversary.
Location
MOPTA 2025 will take place in the historic center of Ponta Delgada, on the beautiful Azorean island of São Miguel, Portugal.
Satellite Event: Portuguese American Optimization Workshop (PAOW)
A satellite event, the Portuguese American Optimization Workshop (PAOW), will take place in Horta, Azores, Portugal from June 13-15, 2025. PAOW is primarily focused on continuous optimization and its applications to machine learning.
Topics of Interest
The conference brings together researchers from both theoretical and applied communities in discrete and continuous optimization, focusing on theoretical aspects and applications.
