Welcome to the joint website of ESEIW 2026, the Empirical Software Engineering International Week 2026, and ESEM 2026, the 20th International Symposium on Empirical Software Engineering and Measurement. ESEM has introduced its open science policy already in 2018 and is among the first software engineering conferences that has actively promoted and supported open science. We are therefore proud to announce two major milestones in the evolution of ESEM towards openness in the community: Revised Open Science Policy: ESEM is with the edition of 2026 open by default. Partnership with Dagstuhl LIPIcs.
